13CO2 Urea Breath Analyzer
The POCone infrared Spectrophotometer is an in vitro diagnostic device designed to measure changes in 13CO2 content in breath CO2 gas by infrared spectroscopic analysis for use in conjunction with BreathTek UBT for H. pylori.
The POCone measures the ratio of 13CO2 to 12CO2 by infrared absorption. Breath samples contained in simple foil-lined bags are placed on the inlet ports of the POCone; then an identification number and starting command are given by the operator. The POCone draws in sample from the bags in sequence, automatically removes moisture from the breath, and meters the samples into the measurement cell.
